SUMMARY:Legends Concert Series: Dirty Cello!
DESCRIPTION:The Great Smoky Mountains Heritage Center presents: Dirty Cello!\nAbout The Band\nDirty Cello…cello like you’ve never heard before.\nFrom Iceland to Italy\, and all over the U.S.\, San Francisco based band Dirty Cello brings the world a high energy and unique spin on blues\, rock\, and Americana. Led by vivacious cross-over cellist\, Rebecca Roudman\, Dirty Cello is cello like you’ve never heard before. From down home blues and rock with a wailing cello to virtuosic stompin’ Americana\, Dirty Cello is a band that gets your heart thumping and your toes tapping!\n“When lead guitar is replaced by the sound of hot licks on a cello\, blues\, rock and bluegrass rise to a new dimension. Dirty Cello — a four-piece band from San Francisco — makes its style of string music to inspire audiences to swing\, sway and dance.” Nick Diamantides\, Ashland Daily Tidings.\n“Dirty Cello’s music is all over the map: funky\, carnival\, romantic\, sexy\, tangled\, electric\, fiercely rhythmic\, and textured\, and only occasionally\nclassical.” Lou Fancher\, Oakland Magazine.\n“The band plays every style imaginable\, and does some fantastic covers. (Their rendition of “Purple Haze” is incredible.) But what is most spectacular about them is hearing the depth of soul in Roudman’s playing—it goes beyond what most people would expect from the instrument. She plays it with so much heart\, you’ll wonder why more bands don’t have a cellist.” Good Times Santa Cruz\nConcert Information\n-No outside food\, beverages\, or coolers are allowed\, other than water.\n-Pets are not allowed.\n-Doors open at 5:30 and any belongings placed before doors open will be turned into lost and found.\n-No outside chairs allowed.\n*Membership pricing only applies to the members listed in your file. \nEvent Location: 123 Cromwell Drive\, Townsend\, TN\, United States\, Tennessee 37882

SUMMARY:Sunset Concert Series: Acoustic Eidolon!
DESCRIPTION:The Great Smoky Mountains Heritage Center presents: Acoustic Eidolon!\nAbout the Band:\nFate has a magical way of bringing people together. Take the case of Joe and Hannah\, aka Acoustic Eidolon. In 1995\, Hannah\, a studio cellist\, received a call to play on a Boulder ensemble’s record. Hannah listened in amazement as directions to the recording studio told her to turn on a small road near her home\, and then turn down her own street past her house!\nLittle did Hannah know that across the street and three houses away lived Joe\, the greatest double-neck guitjo player in the world (OK\, the only double-neck guitjo player in the world).\nA few years after they met\, Joe and Hannah both found themselves between full-time musical engagements. Joe called Hannah\, saying he’d always wanted to hear the cello and the guitjo together. He had a feeling the harp-like sound of the guitjo\, combined with the warmth of Hannah’s cello\, would be beautiful together. So on a snowy day in February 1998\, they got together to play for the first time. What happened next was magic. Captivated by the music they created together\, Joe and Hannah immediately agreed to clear out their schedules\, start rehearsing full-time\, and form what would become Acoustic Eidolon.\nBut\, fate wasn’t finished with Hannah and Joe. What started as a musical/business partnership and friendship blossomed into their marriage on October 14\, 2001. Hannah and Joe (and sons Zach and Alex) became a family. Joe and Hannah joke that this was a marriage of convenience since they were already together all the time anyway! But\, anyone watching them perform can feel the love that draws them together. Their love for one another\, and their passion for life\, speaks through their music. \nConcert Information:\nSunset Series concerts are included with membership to the Great Smoky Mountains Heritage Center. If you are not a member\, come and enjoy the sunset in our covered ampitheater.\nNo outside food\, beverages\, or coolers are allowed\, other than water.\nPets are not allowed.\nDoors open at 5:30 and any belongings placed before doors open will be turned into lost and found.\nNo outside chairs allowed.\nFree membership admission only applies to the members listed in your file. Additional tickets must be purchased for guests. \nEvent Location: 123 Cromwell Drive\, Townsend\, TN\, United States\, Tennessee 37882
