DESCRIPTION:This run and walk event\, which is the final leg of the Healthy Blount Triple Crown of Running\, is a 5K (3.1 miles) and a 1-Mile Fun Run/Walk. BEST DISCOUNT for registration ends Mon\, Nov. 24\, 2025. Soft-blend shirts are included in registration. A portion of the proceeds from this event will go to the Empty Pantry Fund (an organization that feeds those in need during the holidays). Awards will be given to the Overall and Masters winners and the top three finishers in each age division. Prizes will also be given to the best male and female Christmas costume for both adults and kids. All Fun Run/Walk participants will receive a keepsake. DESCRIPTION:Bring your “Tiny Tot” (Ages 3-6) or “True Trooper” (Ages 7-9) for a fun afternoon of kid-friendly triathlon activities! Event course is modified for age group levels\, with each group having their own course.\nParticipants will run\, bike\, and get wet as they make their way to the finish line where everyone receives a medal. This unique event is recreational (not competitive) and encourages young kids to get out and get active! Bring a bicycle or tricycle (with helmet) and wear tennis shoes and comfortable athletic clothing that can get wet at the end. A family member must assist each Tiny Tot (ages 3 – 6) as they make their way through the course\, but do not have to assist for the 7 – 9 year olds True Trooper course. Parents should wear comfortable athletic clothing as well. No swimming will take place\, but participants will get wet as they make their way towards the finish line. SUMMARY:Duck Pond Fishing Derby for Kids 2025
DESCRIPTION:This event for ages 3-15 is held in sponsorship with Parks & Rec\, TWRA\, Wal-Mart\, Appalachian Dental\, Alcoa Fishing Team\, Clarkmore Lending – Holly Clark\, and other area organizations. Trophies are awarded in each age division for the largest fish and the most fish caught. Overall event winner for each category will receive a trophy as well. All participants receive a goody bag\, free shaved ice\, and are eligible to win door prizes including a grand prize. A freeplay games will also be available after weigh-in. Cost is $10 by 3 pm Friday\, June 6. $15 day of event. Register or find more details at https://www.parksrec.com/special-events/fishing-derby or in the Parks & Rec Admin office. No fishing license is needed for the older kids on event day. SUMMARY:Duck Pond Fishing Derby for Kids
DESCRIPTION:This event for ages 3-15 is held in sponsorship with Parks & Rec\, TWRA\, Wal-Mart\, Appalachian Dental\, Alcoa Fishing Team\, Clarkmore Lending – Holly Clark\, and other area organizations. Trophies are awarded in each age division for the largest fish and the most fish caught. Overall event winner for each category will receive a trophy as well. All participants receive a goody bag\, free shaved ice\, and are eligible to win door prizes including a grand prize. A freeplay games will also be available after weigh-in. Cost is $8 by 1 pm Friday\, June 7. $12 day of event. Register or find more details at https://www.parksrec.com/special-events/fishing-derby or in the Parks & Rec Admin office. DESCRIPTION:This 26th annual event consists of the Spring Sprint 5K (April 13)\, the Scholars Run 5K (July 27)\, and the Reindeer Run 5K (December 8 ). Register for all 3 races of the Triple Crown prior to the Spring Sprint and save at least $15 when you receive $5 off the already reduced Early Bird entry fee of EACH race.
