Fresh Finds and Friendly Faces: The Charm of Maryville’s Farmers’ Market

Krak Me Up

As the morning sun stretches its golden fingers over the charming streets of Maryville, Tennessee, a vibrant scene unfolds at the heart of the city: the Downtown Maryville Farmer’s Market. There’s something undeniably magical about farmers’ markets – bustling with life, overflowing with colors, and the cutest pups from all over the county (dog lovers seem to LOVE farmers’ markets!).

We sauntered down to Founders’ Square last Saturday for the first Farmers’ Market of the season, and if you missed out, oh boy! We can’t help you chase the magic we experienced as we watched kids jump in puddles while we bought beautiful flowers for our office, BUT we can help entice you into experiencing it for yourself this weekend!

Every Saturday in Founders’ Square in Downtown Maryville, from 8:30 AM to 11:30 AM, from April through November, local vendors congregate to sell their locally made goods to those blessed enough to live in the area… us!

This weekend, come on an empty stomach because Krak Me Up will be there once again! In case you aren’t familiar with Krack Me Up (we aren’t totally judging, but let’s fix that ASAP, friend), it’s a breakfast-themed food truck that features breakfast bowls with scrambled eggs, golden hash, and queso cheese sauce!

There are many ways to spruce up the bowls for those who are feeling a little adventurous. For a little southern twist, Krak Me Up offers slow-smoked chopped brisket, slow-smoked pulled pork, and some good ol’ bacon!

Once your stomach is full and your taste buds sated, perhaps you’re now in a shopping mood. Well, have no fear. There are plenty of opportunities to whip out your wallet and perform a bit of retail therapy.

If you’re looking for a bouquet to gift or spruce up your home, be sure to stop by Bloomers Flower Farm! They provide some of the brightest petals this side of the Smokies, and you’ll feel like the belle of the ball as you walk through the market with your arms full of flowers.

Next up, we have Honey Rock Herb Farm! Now, you may just have to play us in a little round of rock-paper-scissors if we show up to the booth at the same time as you, because their booth is the place to be for all your gardening needs!

Alright, fine, we’ll let you cut us in line just this once, as long as you promise not to buy out all of their French Tarragon!

Speaking of buying everything out, we beg you not to sell out Buffalo Girl Apiaries’ booth before we get there! Chocolate chip cookies with bits of chocolate bar and marshmallows baked in? Um, yeah, we’ll take a baker’s dozen, please!

Whether you’re looking for baked goods, hand-made jewelry, canned jams and jellies, sugary treats, farm-fresh veggies, grass-fed beef (trust us, the list goes ON), be sure to make your way to the Maryville Farmers’ Market this Saturday!
