FREE COMIC BOOK DAY @ THE GOLDEN AGE 1942 WITH TRISTAN CRISP AND TIM MOEN !!

It’s that time of year again! Free Comic Book Day returns to Maryville on Saturday, May 3rd, from 9 am to 7 pm! This is our 9th birthday and Free Comic Book Day event!
Everyone attending this year will be able to pick 1 of each book from the many titles that are being offered.
As in years past, all books have three age ratings identified by color: Green for all ages, Blue for teens (meaning 13+, but we find these comics to not have anything too objectionable in them.) and Red for Mature (meaning 18+).
All are encouraged to wear their full comic book regalia, costumes included. We will have a costume contest for the adults and the kids to add to the fun.
After getting your free comics, be sure to check out our local artists, we’ve got a couple of fantastic guests this year!!
TIM MOEN
Tim is a working character designer and concept artist in the animation industry. A decade-long veteran of Walt Disney Television Animation, he was the lead character designer on several productions such as “DuckTales” (2017), “Penn Zero: Part-Time Hero”, and “Chibi Tiny Tales”. Tim has also worked for Warner Animation Group (WAG) and Big Idea (Veggie Tales), among others. After working in busy Burbank, CA, Tim and his wife, Sara, decided to settle down in peaceful East Tennessee. He continues to work remotely as a freelance artist for the animation industry. Tim and his wife Sara will be offering a free cartoon class at The Golden Age 1942 for free comic book day!
Your kids will have fun learning tips from a pro! Class is free but arrive early to save them a seat! seats are limited and first come first serve!!
