Here’s Green’s statement:
A lifelong Tennessean, lawyer, public servant, educator, and proud mom of three. I’ve lived in Memphis, Nashville, and Knoxville, and I know firsthand the beauty, the struggles, and the deep values that define every corner of this state.
I’ve spent my life showing up for my community when it matters most—whether fighting for the most vulnerable as a public defender, advocating for living wages as a Memphis City Councilor, or championing healthcare access and fundamental freedoms as a leader in County Government. I’m no stranger to tough fights and I have a record of winning.
Now, I’m bringing that same fire to the Governor’s race—because Tennessee families deserve better.
