Sunset Concert Series: The New Quintet!

Join us this Friday, July 5th for our next Sunset Concert Series featuring The New Quintet! Enjoy a fun evening of fantastic music set in one of the most beautiful parts of the Smokies! Mr. Weenies Hot Dogs and Catering will be here serving up some delicious hot dogs and lemonades! Doors open at 5:30pm and the concert starts at 7pm! Tickets range from $5-$20 but members get in for free!

Honoring the songs and styles that have shaped our country from Traditional Folk to Ragtime, Old-Time and Early Country, The New Quintet features storyteller and musicologist Nicholas Edward Williams (Guitar, Vocals), Emma Dubose (Fiddle, Vocals), Jade Watts (Upright Bass, Vocals), Gordon Inman (Clarinet) and Cody Ray (Guitar, Lap Steel). The ensemble’s big harmonies, intricate melodies and lush textures rain upon both original and reimagined traditional material. Since forming in 2020 while making Williams’ critically acclaimed release Folk Songs For Old Times’ Sake, which has been heralded by well-regarded figures of the roots community such as David Holt, Oliver Wood, Dom Flemons, and JP Harris, The New Quintet has been on stages throughout the Southeast at festivals, concert series, listening rooms and theaters, and will be unveiling their first release in late 2023.
