Both locals and visitors alike can enjoy a weekend packed with outdoor events celebrating both the region and the season. Whether you’re a self-proclaimed foodie, lover of live music, or enjoy things like silent disco, Summer on Broadway has something fun for everyone.

Summer on Broadway kicks off the weekend of June 21st.
For lovers of craft beer and promoting local businesses, Hops in The Hills is one you should go ahead and block out your calendar for. Set against the backdrop of the Great Smoky Mountains, this festival allows you to sample regional flavors from the best local breweries in the area.
This year’s fun and festivities will take place in the Maryville Greenway Amphitheatre to allow more space for games, kickin’ back with friends, and live music.
Festival prices include tastings, tasting cup, food, and official event t-shirt.

The Great Smoky Mountains Hot Air Balloon Festival is an elevated experience where visitors come to see numerous large, beautifully decorated hot air balloons take to the sky at the same time.
Along with this great spectacle are family-friendly activities, crafters, a full food truck court, and beer tent. Make it a date day or a fun family outing, because we promise there’s something for everyone!
Don’t worry about the weather. Though the balloons may be sensitive to rain and high winds, the festival itself will happen rain or shine, so buy your tickets before they’re all swept away!
The Great Smoky Mountains Hot Air Balloon Festival takes flight on August 17th at the Townsend Visitor Center.

It doesn’t matter your preferences, because this event promises something for everyone. All the local participating restaurants, caterers, and gourmet grocers come together to showcase their skills and highlight some of their bestsellers (which are bestsellers for a reason!).

Ticket holders can vote on various categories, like Best Appetizer, Main Course, Sandwich, Dessert, Beverage, Presentation, and Overall Winner!

Taste of Blount takes place September 12th at the Theatre in The Park in Maryville.
