Step back in time and enjoy a fall celebration in the tradition of old-time county fairs—a day filled with family fun, history, and heritage at the Great Smoky Mountains Heritage Center!
What to Expect:
Living history demonstrations: open hearth cooking, spinning, weaving, wood turning, blacksmithing
Farm animals on site: cows, chickens, goats, and more
Traditional games and competitions—including the ever-popular Ladies’ Skillet Throw
Farmer in the Cove: a hands-on experience where children try out 19th-century farm chores like picking apples, gathering eggs, doing laundry by hand, corn shelling, and planting crops
Gather the family and come experience the sights, sounds, and traditions of an old-fashioned country fair in the Smokies.
