A Smoky Mountain H-D Project Ridemore group ride departing from Maryville to the Panther Creek State Park Overlook. There is no evidence of any Cherokee villages within this area, formerly known as Panther Springs. We believe the Cherokee considered this part of the Great Hunting Ground. In this valley, the Cherokee hunted deer, elk, small mammals, and game birds to provide food and clothing for the tribe.
