We rescued Roadie in 2020 when we lived in AZ after someone dumped her in the desert and she hopped in front of our car. She was in bad shape, but we drove around as a family for three hours looking for an exotic vet. This was two weeks after we told our kids “no gerbils, no hamsters, no rabbits, no rodents for pets”.
